Come spend the day with us in the Marin Headlands! Saturday, September 29.

We have a great day planned for you with the opportunity to explore up to three different science education organizations in the Marin Headlands. You can come on one, two, or all three tours and discover amazing, inspirational opportunities for learning outdoors and beyond the classroom walls. Bring a colleague or two and make a day of bonding and exploring, and enjoying the beautiful natural settings!

10:00-11:00 Marine Mammal Center – Guided Tour

Join us for a guided tour of the Marine Mammal Center where we will learn about their programs for schools and how they do marine mammal care and rehabilitation.

 

10:00-1:00 Point Bonita YMCA –  Tour, Hike and Lunch (provided)

Point Bonita YMCA offers day and overnight environmental education programs. Point Bonita YMCA offers day and overnight environmental education programs. Their campus is surrounded by coastline and a short walk to the light house. CRS is participating in their open house that day that has the following schedule

  • 10:00 Welcome & Campus Tours
  • 10:30 Naturalist-led Hike to Point Bonita Lighthouse
  • 12:15 Lunch, Program Presentation, and Q & A

 

1:30-2:30 Bay Area Discovery Museum – Guided Tour

 

Finish the day right on the Bay, with sweeping views of the majestic Golden Gate Bridge, at this gem of a museum for younger children (PreK to 3rd Grade) for a tour and overview of their programs for schools.
