Science of Everyday items: Toilet Paper & Non-Toilet Paper
Science of Everyday items: Toilet Paper
& Non-Toilet Paper
Workshop Date: October 28, 2021
Grades: Pre-K – 5
Presented By: Ben Lavender, Central Contra Costa Sanitary District
In this lesson, we use simple household materials to help us see what actually happens to our toilet paper and other kinds of paper after we flush them. Teachers will place toilet paper and non-toilet paper into recycled jars filled with water (a toilet model). They will then closely observe and sketch what happens to our paper after we flush.
