In this interactive workshop we used a local environmental phenomenon to explore phenomena-driven instruction. We engaged in the process of asking questions that lead to possible lines of inquiry and discuss ways to introduce the engineering design process.
Sagit Betser, PhD, is the Head of School and Community Partnerships at the Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM). Prior to joining BADM, Sagit managed the R&D in several start-up companies, leading multidisciplinary teams in the design and development of products from idea to full production. She also served as the KBA Director of Design and Innovation, in addition to her role as a K-5th grade Science Teacher.
Professional learning certificate was provided for all attendees.
This session counted as one and a half hours towards the 10 hours required in the 1 optional CEU available for this series.
