  • Engineering Process Graphics – this graphic shows the process involved while doing the practice of engineering.
  • Science Practices and Language Connections Packet
  • CRS list of ​Engineering Websites – for activity ideas and background information
  • CRS list of local engineering field trips or in class programs
  • FOSS K-5 Engineering Connections and Grade 6-8 Engineering Connections
  • Engineering is Elementary – This program from the Museum of Science Boston provides professional development and lesson plans for engineering at the Elementary and Middle School level. Their Engineering Adventures curriculum for Afterschool programs is free and easily adaptable to the classroom.
  • (Engineering is Elementary) EiE Families offers free, hands-on, research-based activities designed for families with children ages 4–11 and are available in both English and Spanish. The activities help both adults and children build their confidence, collaborative problem-solving skills, and understanding of STEM disciplines.
  • TeachEngineering.org is a site that has lots of great background information and lesson plans for teaching K-12 engineering.
  • The Tech Interactive has several sets of maker and engineering challenges for both the home and school settings.
  • STEM Ecosystems has a STEM Activity Guide for families that is available in both English and Spanish
