COVID-19: An Environmental and Social Justice Context for Learning
COVID-19: An Environmental and Social Justice Context for Learning
Workshop Dates: April 13 & 15
Grades K-5
Presented by: The Bay Area Mathematics And Science Projects (BAMP & BASP)
How do we help students understand their world? Understanding the world around us calls on skills to think critically and problem solve, skill sets not siloed into discipline areas. Social and environmental justice is a multi-disciplinary and highly relevant learning context. Together, we took a close look at the current topic of vaccination against the coronavirus and examine cross-curricula standards-based connections and how each supports the other in a synergistic way.
