Deadline: Complete challenges by Friday, February 20, 2026

Recognition & Prizes: Complete 4 challenges to earn recognition; Complete all 6 challenges for top prizes including an experience with a scientist! The more challenges your class completes, the bigger the prizes. **All teachers participating acknowledge and agree that the information submitted may be shared publicly via Community Resources for Science’s social media platforms and website. CRS may share images of student sample work, with student first name only and in accordance with school guidelines.

I think students feel much less intimidated by science than I did at their age. They have more of a sense of how science fits into daily life and is not something that happens in a laboratory far removed from our normal routines. I hope that in the future science will not give them a sense of dread, but a feeling of excitement and curiosity.
