PD: A Breath of Fresh Pollution
A Breath of Fresh Pollution – A Closer Look at Air Quality and Race
Workshop Date: September 26, 2020
Grades K-12
Presented By: Tricia Dennis, STEM4Real
In this session teachers took a closer look at air quality and how different races and ethnicities experience air quality based on their surrounding environments. After experiencing a 5E lesson, teachers learned how to adapt this to their own classroom and the implications for addressing air quality using the science and engineering practice of analyzing and interpreting data (NGSS and EP&Cs) and also addressed appropriate math standards.
