It’s not magic, it’s science! We make supplies disappear in a flash!

Springtime is when science learning shifts into high gear.

Here’s a peek at the schedule for a typical springtime week at CRS: nearly 150 inspiring science and engineering role models engaging more than 1,500 young learners in explorations about plants, circuits, states of matter, dinosaurs, energy, vision, climate change, human brains and respiratory systems, and so much more.

Thank you to the amazing scientists and engineers – from UC Berkeley and many local companies — who give their time to make these learning experiences possible. We’re honored to have employee teams this year from the following employers:

Amryis, Clorox, Health Advances, and the Oakland A’s which each provided dozens of employees to run full-day pop-up science festivals at several schools around the East Bay.

Bayer, which hosted an onsite day of service that engaged nearly two dozen employees in building kits for classroom lessons.

Port of Oakland and East Bay Municipal Utility District which each sent teams of employees into classrooms to provide exciting lessons that highlight the role of these important agencies in the economy and daily lives of East Bay residents.

Additional employee teams from Clorox, Health Advances, Bolt Threads, Aduro Biotech, VCA Animal Hospitals, and BioMarin Pharmaceuticals presented over 110 lessons in elementary school classrooms, reaching 3,000 young learners!
